Mardi Gras and Bal Masque

The San Clemente Rotary Club and the Foundation had banded together to present the Mardi Gras and Bal Masque at the Pacific Golf and Country Club on Saturday, February 2, 2008. This gala event was a fundraiser for the forthcoming LaPata/Vista Hermosa Community Park, which will contain a much-needed four soccer and three baseball fields and one football field, as well as an aquatic center. Featuring the JD PRIEST BAND, the dinner/dance required that attendees wear a mask and a costume or formal attire for entry. There were be awards for best costumes, a silent auction, and lots of music and dancing. Tickets were $125 each and tax-deductable. This was a wonderful opportunity for parents of youth who will be using the new park to assist financially in making it a reality.
